I’ve been looking forward to today all week. An early wake up is always a win, but more than that, we were going to the largest city in Bavria. A 30 minute train ride and we ived right into a two hour guided city tour. I appreciated how thee city acknowledges it’s dark past relating to WW2 and commentaries those who resisted the Nazis, and Munich was the birthplace of the Nazi movement.
After the tour, we were set free to explore the cit on our own. We we’re feeling trational for lunch, so we heded over to a less crowded beer hall. I got the pork sausage and sauerkraut with a pretzel which was simple but delicious. After lunch, we did some quick shopping but I lead some friends to the English Garden, a main area I wanted to visit. We parted ways and I went deeper into the park.
The park was amazing: long rovers stretched along the long plains. People would put pallets of beer in the lake to cool them, volley ball games, american university students studying on picnic blankets, I would go over a hill and see the tops of cathedrals and churches peak above the tree line. It was such a relaxing envikrment, but a bit short lived as I had to get back to the cty center for dinner. After dinner, we took and train back and called it a night.
