Today was one of my most anticipated days. Located in Füssen, this small town is home to Germany’s most famous castle, Neuschwanstein. At first, we arrived at mountainous terrain with small villages on the way. The views were beautiful. Lakes with snowy mountain tops. It was a perfect sight as we were nearing the base of the Swiss Alps. The walk up to the castle was quick and easy. We were greeted with a magnificent castle. Neuschwanstein was grand in size with many unique aspects. It was built more recently so the insides were preserved very well. The colors inside were very beautiful. Ludwig II designed a stunning interior that differed from what my perception of a castle would be. His love for art challenged the normal ideas of being a ruler at this time. He spent nearly all of his family’s money to build this castle on a sight next to his fathers. The views today were some of the best I have ever had in my life. The German farms mixed with mountains and castles all made this visit stunning.
When the headed to hear a lecture from the chief executed of the MAN plant we visited on Tuesday. His talk about the MAN push into electric vehicles was interesting. It is one of the main themes of this trip, the push into electric vehicles in a sustainability era. He showed a short advertisement of their electrical vehicle segment that was almost identical to one we saw with the Audi lecture yesterday. The MAN lecture gave me a great perspective on companies shifting their focus into a new sector with their electric vehicles. The picture I chose was me with the Neuschwanstein castle in the back.
