Today was filled with a lot of mythology. We first went to go see Aphrodite’s Rock, where the goddess was born of the sea form hitting the rock. It was a beautiful place filled with stones on the beach and beautiful blue waters of all shades. Then we went to Tomb of the Kings, which was fascinating to see the structures that housed the bodies of so many famous people. The tombs where in tact and there were so many of them. Lastly, we stopped at my favorite spot Paphos Harbor where Georgia gave us a guided tour of the Mosaic tiles on the floor, each tile had a mythological story ranging from Narcissus to the story of the four seasons . The image above struck me as a beautiful greek woman. Around her were the four seasons, winter, spring, summer, and fall. She is in the middle representing time. I really enjoyed this boardwalk area and the beauty of the mosaics.
