Mixing it up at the Seoul Tower

Today, we had a late start to our day, but it was well worth it because we visited the iconic Seoul Tower! Getting up to the skyline was definitely a bit of an adventure. We had to take a bus that slowly wound its way up the steep and winding hillside, offering glimpses of the city through the trees as we climbed higher and higher. Once we finally reached the base of the tower, we took an elevator all the way up to the top. The view was absolutely breathtaking—panoramic scenes of the city surrounded by lush green trees and tall plants made it feel like something out of a movie.

One of the highlights at the top was the famous “lock bridge,” a major attraction at Seoul Tower. Couples and loved ones visit the bridge together to place locks on the railings, symbolizing eternal love, trust, and harmony. It was heartwarming to see thousands of colorful locks left behind by people from all over the world.

After soaking in the views, we headed to a Korean cooking class, which turned out to be one of the most enjoyable parts of the day. We learned how to make bibimbap, a traditional Korean dish whose name means “mixed rice.” The dish includes various vegetables and seasoned meat, all combined in a bowl of rice. We got to chop and sauté the vegetables ourselves and cook the meat, adding our own seasonings. It was hands-on, delicious, and a great way to connect with Korean culture.

By the end of the night, we were full, happy, and proud of what we’d made. It was one of the most fun and memorable experiences so far. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store!
