Today was an extremely exciting day. We visited the DMZ and then went to watch a Korean Baseball game. Today I woke up and got breakfast from the hotel and then quickly got ready to catch our bus. It was about an hour drive to arrive around the DMZ. When we got close, we got off to eat lunch. Today we were served Budae-jjigae. Budae-jjigae is a stew including cut up hotdogs, spam, kimchi, ramen noodles, and a slice of American cheese. This food was not my favorite, but I was told it was food soldiers would usually eat.

After eating our lunch, we drove to a DMZ visitor center. We waited there for about 15 minutes before getting on a shuttle bus that would take us into the DMZ. The shuttle was first taking us to the underground tunnel part of the DMZ. Before getting to the DMZ Korean soldiers stopped our bus to see our passports. We were told before we got off the shuttle bus that we must be quick. We were on schedule and could not take longer than an hour at the underground part of the DMZ or we could get in trouble. To get to the underground tunnel we had to walk down a long steep tunnel and wear a safety helmet. When we got to the bottom we had to walk far to get to the end of the tunnel. The tunnel was very small, and I kept hitting my safety helmet off the top of the tunnel.
After visiting the DMZ, we had to get ready to head to a Korean baseball game. The teams playing were the Kiwoom Heroes and the Samsung Lions. We were cheering for the Kiwoom Heroes. Throughout the game when your team was up to bat your side had to get up and cheer for your team. This was very different way to support your team than any American sport I have seen. The Heroes played very closely against the Lions and even sent the game into extra innings but eventually lost.
