Big Baller Blogs Day 9

After breakfast today, we headed to the Cat Lai Terminal. When we arrived, we were struck by how large and busy it was,and the heat made it even more intense. We eventually made our way to an area where workers were loading bags of rice into shipping containers. It was impressive to see how efficient and skilled these workers were. They even had us carry a bag ourselves, which gave us a real appreciation for how physically demanding their job is.

Vietnam exports and imports a wide variety of goods, and because of that, the country relies heavily on logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly. It’s clear that any changes in tariffs could significantly affect the operations at the port. If tariffs are implemented, I think the port will likely see major changes in how it functions, possibly slowing down or rerouting trade.

Later in the day, we had an amazing shopping experience at a local market. Bargaining with the vendors was one of the highlights. I ended up getting several great items, including some NBA jerseys, a North Face bag, and a stylish purse. One thing I noticed was that the older women selling at the stalls tended to be much friendlier and more patient, while the younger ones could be a bit harsher or more direct.

Overall, the bargaining was a lot of fun, and we scored some incredible deals. It was a unique and exciting part of the trip that really stood out.
