Day 11: Water Purification and Oil Tanks…

Wednesday May 21st, 2025

Today we met at a regular time of 9 am in the lobby to initially head to and old oil tank area that turned into a museum. We took an 40 minute bus ride to the oil tank which sat right across from the olympic soccer stadium. We walked around before figuring out that it was bought by a private owner and is not open to the public anymore, lol. We headed to the area that the water purification tour would be for free time and lunch. A few of us went off and got sushi, which was some of the best food I have had here. The sushi was reasonably priced but extremely good quality, the fish would melt in my mouth. Riya and I also got udon to share which was also very yummy. Afterwards we pasted by a donut shop and had the most exquisite donuts. They weren’t too sweet but had fun flavors and amazing taste. At 2 we had our water purification tour at Arisu. We got a tour of the water plant and then got a tour of the water museum which showed the importance of water and its leading pollutants, as well as how they used to purify water. We then had a little more free time to roam the museum ourselves where there was a make your own keychain station. A quick 20 minute metro ride and we were back to the hotel. My team continued to work on our presentation and team video before dinner.  Later dinner was on our own so my team did a final (and only) team dinner. We went out to K-BBQ and got dessert after before meeting up to hang with everyone else. Today was a fun, slow, but calm day with lots of good grub. Tomorrow is the final full day and we present our presentations.
