I can’t BEAR leaving London

Today was our first and only full day in London! I started out my morning with a delicious breakfast by the hotel. It was not the typical hotel breakfast I am used to, instead of a buffet they served you like you were at a restaurant. I got omelette style eggs on toast for my meal and it was fantastic!

Once we wrapped up breakfast it was time to head to the tube to get to the Florence Nightingale museum! I thought that the museum was interesting and had various items you could interact with. One of those items was a cat puppet which I of course had to get a picture with! Then we explored the rest of the museum and headed out to shortly begin going off on our own around London.

The first place we decided to go towards was Big Ben. Before we headed over we found a great picture location where you could see it in the background. Then we made our way to Big Ben and I got some great pictures! Once we wrapped up with photos we came across a Build-A-Bear and I decided to make a bear and get it a cute British sweater.

After we looked at the Westminster Abbey and then walked over to the Buckingham Palace.

Then we decided we were really hungry and needed to go somewhere for lunch. We decided on going to the original Hard Rock Cafe! The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was great. I got their noodle bowl which was just ramen basically with a sesame-soy sauce.

Next we walked around for a while and eventually decided to relax at a cafe. We stuck around at the cafe until it was time for us to start heading to the Novello Theatre to see Mamma Mia! Once we arrived at the theatre we met up with Dr. Marks and got our tickets. We headed in and when I got to my seat I was impressed with how gorgeous the atmosphere was. Then after about twenty minutes the musical began. Sadly I could not get any photos or videos of it, but it was absolutely spectacular! The actors had terrific voices and it was one of the funniest musicals I have ever seen. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the theatre and now I want to see even more musicals in the future.

Sadly, this concludes not only my blogs but the trip. We are heading back home tomorrow morning and as sad as it is I am at least happy to go back to my bed. Oh… and of course see my family and friends! This trip was a wonderful opportunity, and I am glad I got to not only learn so much from it but also make great memories. Cheers!
