Day 10 in Bilbao

Today was packed with nature and adventure. We began with a downhill hike to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, followed by a climb up a long, winding staircase. The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking, ocean on one side, cliffs on the other.

After our visit, we made the uphill hike back. It started to warm up quite a bit, and we were definitely tired by the end, but we pushed through and got some water at the end. After this we took the bus and stopped at another nearby village to grab some pintxos and gelato together! It felt well deserved and super refreshing.

In the afternoon, we visited the Oma Painted Forest. We weren’t expecting another uphill hike, but we powered through. The Oma Painted forest is a perfect example of contemporary art as it used trees as its canvas and is very unique because you stand on a certain number on the ground and when you look the different trees line up to make a bigger picture. I’m so happy i was able to see all these amazing views in one day.
