Day 4: Continental+Regensburg

Day 4 saw us traveling to Regensburg, which is home to a Continental Technologies, or Conti-Tech, plant. As is tradition, there was no photography permitted while on the tour, but i did snag some pictures of the outside and the sunglasses and gummies they gave us. the tour was cool but not terribly interesting. This was my group, so i tried to stay as attentive as possible, but the tour was through a humongous plant that according to our tour guide produces 1000 chips/minute and was as you could imagine pretty loud. It was hard to hear and understand the tour guide, but even still, it was cool to see all the machinery moving so fast and the sheer size of the factory was crazy. The gummies were amazing too, i wish they sold continental gummies everywhere.

Regensburg was a beautiful city with a ton of awesome art. I loved these colorful rowhouse-style buildings in the city square.

the bridge leading to the other half of the city had one statue on it, of a man riding a house. later, when we took a tour of the regensburg castle torture chamber, our tour guide showed us the spanish donkey, which was a torture device where someone would be made to sit on a sharp triangular seat. I asked if this was what was being depicted on the bridge, but our tour guide said no. I’m still unsure.

Beautiful pastel houses and cool clocktowers.

Goliathstrasse-this street was named for the huge beautiful mural in the center of it. I love how the mural perfectly dodges the windows, as if the building was built with the painting in mind.

Art from regensburg castle-we’ve seen so much nude art on this trip lol

This is the first time ive ever seen a painting with a clock.

That night we went to Kantine, a nightclub in augsburg. it was super fun!!!
