Counting down the days until May nien!

Hello! My name is Ella Dindak, and I am a sophomore marketing major at Pitt. I am from Pittsburgh, but I grew up in Naples, Florida and attended my freshman year of college at the University of Florida.

I want to pursue a career in retail, and I will be working at American Eagle this summer as a Visual Lab Associate. I previously worked as a Sales Associate at Club Pilates which taught me so much about fitness and connecting with members! At Pitt I am involved in the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi where I served as this semester’s VP of Community Service. Outside of work and class, I love to do yoga, go on a run/walk, watch tennis, try new coffee shops and restaurants, read, and spend time with family and friends.

Traveling is something that has always excited me most in life, so I knew I wanted to take advantage of opportunities to travel abroad in college. I wasn’t sure if a semester abroad was the right fit for me, so when I heard about the Plus 3 Germany trip I felt it was the perfect chance to experience more of the world while connecting with other students.

The automotive industry isn’t something I have much background knowledge on, so I was eager to learn about something completely knew. The focus on supply chain and sustainability is very applicable to the retail industry, so this trip will give me tangible experience that I can speak to and utilize in my future career. Earning 3 credits without having to take a semester-long class is always a plus, but most of all, I am looking forward to bonding with the group of students from Pitt and Augsburg. I can’t wait to experience Germany together and come back with a new community of friends. I’ve never been on a trip of this nature, so I’m excited to push myself out of my comfort zone and try new things to see personal growth.
