Hello! My name is Cameron Hartzell and I am from Wilmington, Delaware. I am an upcoming sophomore nursing student at the University of Pittsburgh-Oakland campus. I am a current member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and intend to hold an executive position this upcoming academic year. I am also a part of the Sustainability of the Health Sciences club because I think it is important to take care of our planet while we can. I enjoy staying active in my free time whether it be through weightlifting, pilates, yoga, or simply going on a walk with friends. My main goal is to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner because I believe mental health is just as important as physical health, and there should not be a stigma around seeking help.
This will be my first time out of the country, so I am beyond excited to be able to have this experience! Meeting new people and trying new foods is important to grow as a person. I am intrigued to learn about the differences between the UK and US when it comes to education and healthcare. I hope to learn from this new environment and bring back memorable moments with my group and the citizens of Birmingham.
