Hello! My name is James Moynagh, and I am from Berwyn, Pennsylvania. I’m currently a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh studying finance and economics. On campus I’m involved in the Panther Equity Investment Fund, where I research and pitch tech stocks, and am also heavily involved in the Undergraduate Finance Club and Corporate Connections Club. Outside of academics, I love playing basketball in my spare time and am also trying to get better at table tennis.
I chose Plus3 Vietnam because I want to experience how businesses operate differently across the world. As an economics major, I’m very interested in the global economy, and having the opportunity to dive deeper into a different culture will be truly invaluable to my understanding of both my understanding of the global economy and how different companies operate with it. I’m also very excited to learn more about Vietnamese culture and the impacts it has on people beyond the business world. I chose Vietnam specifically because of it’s fast growing economy and involvement in technology. As a part of the tech sector in Panther Equity, I have a huge passion for technology and am looking forward to seeing in detail Vietnam’s growing tech scene and the details behind it. I also look forward to stepping outside of my comfort zone, meeting new people, trying new things, and making new friends.
