My name is Madison Benzing, and I am currently studying Accounting while working toward earning my CPA along with a leadership and ethics certificate. I am from Delaware County, just about 15 minutes from the Philadelphia sports stadiums, and I even was able to attend the Eagles Super Bowl Parade last spring. Go Birds! At home, I have worked at a local clothing boutique for the past four years, where I have developed a strong sense of entrepreneurship. Working closely with a female business owner has given me valuable insight into what it takes to run and grow a business, and it has helped shape my interest in leadership and business ownership.
The focus on female entrepreneurship in the Morocco Plus3 experience has sparked interests as entrepreneurship is not only something I want to learn more about but take a course on. Also as an Accounting major, entrepreneurship classes do not fit the course plan during the school year but Plus3 Morocco’s focus topic gives me the opportunity to do this. Through Plus3, I hope to gain a broader global perspective on the business world and better understand how business practices and entrepreneurship connect across cultures and countries. Academically, I look forward to bringing new perspectives into my coursework and deepening my understanding of international business. Professionally, I hope to share and reflect on my experience at the boutique I work for, helping others understand and learn from opportunities and ideas that are explored aboard. I am so excited to see how impactful this experience will be in shaping my future career path.
