Finallyyy!! The day I have been waiting for from the beginning of this semester has finally arrived. Yesterday was a full day from start to finish. I wrapped up my last final, moved out of my first-year dorm, and headed straight to the pre-departure meeting where I got to sit in a room full of other students who are heading to completely different destinations for Plus 3. Everyone was buzzing with excitement and it honestly made the whole thing feel so much more real and kind of surreal at the same time, like it was finally hitting that this trip is actually happening. After the meeting, I made a last-minute run to the mall to grab a few things I still needed, then went home and spent the rest of the night packing and double-checking everything. I definitely did not get a full night of sleep, but I am hoping the flight gives me a chance to rest up before we land.
There is so much planned for these two weeks, and I truly cannot decide what I am most excited about. Between exploring cultural landmarks, shopping, catching a baseball game, and visiting the DMZ, the itinerary is already packed from morning to night, and I know every day is going to bring something completely new. I feel like it is one of those trips where even the smallest moments will be memorable, whether it is just traveling around the city, trying new things for the first time, or experiencing everything with a completely new group of people. It already feels like it is going to go by way too fast.
Besides the planned itinerary, I am also really excited to shop a lot, especially for skincare and clothes, since I have been looking forward to that part for a while. I have heard so much about the skincare culture there, so I am excited to explore different stores. I am also really looking forward to trying a lot of good Korean food while I am there, especially street food and local spots that people recommend. I am honestly so excited for everything and really hope the trip goes smoothly and turns out even better than I am expecting.
