Saying Goodbye, Now Onto Seoul!

The moment we’ve been waiting for these past few months is finally here: our departure to Korea! The weeks leading up to this trip were very busy as we had to move out, take our finals, and I was also apartment hunting because there were some issues with my housing, but now it’s all resolved, and I can just focus on this trip! Last night was the pre-departure meeting/dinner with all the Plus3 groups. After the meeting, I went to get 7 Brew with my boyfriend and then celebrated my friend’s 21st birthday! Fast forward to the next morning, we said goodbye to our families and were off to the airport!

I am so excited as it’s my first time going to Korea and Asia in general. The flight is going to be super long, though, so I downloaded a lot of shows to keep me entertained and try to sleep for the majority of the flight. There are so many things I want to do and places to visit when we get there. I want to go downtown and shop, and try all the restaurants and street food. A big part of Korea that I’m excited for is the food. I want to try everything!

There are so many things in our itinerary and I’m excited to do them all. I’m most excited for the baseball game and the temple stay. I know baseball is a big part of Korean culture and it’s much different than how it is here in the USA. I also really want to go shopping and visit the huge malls and shopping districts. I’m interested to see how the fashion in Korea is different from America.

I am so grateful for this experience and I’m excited to keep updating my blog about everything we will experience here in Korea and all the new things we’ll learn!
