Hi again! I am writing this blog today as we are sitting in the Pittsburgh airport getting ready for our first flight. Today marks the start of our trip to Korea, and I am so excited! Yesterday, I finished moving out of my dorm completely after taking my last final. It’s a really weird feeling being completely done with my freshman year of college. After moving out, we had our final meeting for plus3 as a whole group, where we had some dinner and reviewed some information about the trip.
Actually being in the airport made me realize that we are actually going on this trip and that it isn’t so distant in the future anymore. We are actually about to fly to Korea extremely soon! The total trip to get to Korea is going to take a very long time. We left from Pitt at around 9:45 am, and our first flight leaves for Atlanta, our layover, at around 2 pm. Once we get to Atlanta, we have 7 whole hours of free time in the airport before we board for the next flight at 11 pm. At this point, the day will have already been long and tiring even before the 15-hour flight to Korea. I think that this makes a total of about 30 hours for our travel time. I usually really like being on flights because it is fun to look outside, but I’m not too sure that that is going to help in this situation.
However long it takes us to get there, I’m sure it will all be worth it, and I am so excited to explore Seoul!
