Day 1: From Finals Week to Endless Flights

on

Today, we officially began our journey to Korea. After a long week of finals, moving out, and making sure I was ready to experience an entirely new culture, it still doesn’t feel real. Having taken my Calc 3 final yesterday, it’s exciting to shift from final exams to about 25 hours of travel.

I started this morning in Pittsburgh, where I finished moving out of my dorm room, and had a pretty short flight from Pittsburgh to Atlanta. In Atlanta, we had a seven-hour layover, which gave everyone plenty of time to walk around, explore the airport, get to know each other, and prepare for our 15-hour flight. It was, and still is so weird to not have to worry about schoolwork, as it feels like that’s all that I have been doing since August. Even now, I still accidentally open Canvas on my phone or laptop, thinking I need to look at the work I have to get done. It’s nice to know that instead I get to look forward to Korea.
