Hi everyone!
My name is Natalie Cimochowski, and I’m so excited to be traveling to Ecuador through Pitt’s Plus3 program. I’m currently studying Marketing, with a minor in Theater Arts and a certificate in Communications and Digital Media. I’m from Bucks County, PA, and chose Pitt because of its endless opportunities and beautiful campus.
On campus, I serve on the Content and Communications Committee for Women in Business, where I collaborate with a team to brainstorm, create, and schedule social media content aligned with our goals. I am also the Public Relations Assistant for Kappa Delta Sorority, where I support content creation and help manage our presence across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. I focus on producing visually engaging content that reflects our values while keeping a consistent tone and message.
Outside of school, I spend a lot of my time on stage or writing, two of my biggest passions. I also love staying active, something that’s been a big part of my life through sports, and I’m always looking for ways to continue that in college. In my free time, I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, spending time with family and friends, and being outside, especially in the summer.
Traveling to Ecuador means so much to me. While I’ve been fortunate to travel outside of the U.S. before, this will be my first time in South America, and I’m eager to fully embrace the culture, experience the natural beauty, and learn more about the chocolate industry. I chose Ecuador because it’s a place I might not have otherwise had the opportunity to visit, and I wanted to push myself to explore somewhere new.
I’m a huge nature lover, and one of my favorite travel experiences was visiting Puerto Rico, hiking through El Yunque National Forest. We were covered in mud, sweat, and freezing cold water, and it was still one of the most fun and memorable adventures I’ve had. Experiencing diverse ecosystems and seeing different species up close is something that really excites me, which is why I’m especially looking forward to exploring the Amazon.
I can’t wait to experience everything Ecuador has to offer, from its landscapes to its culture, and to create memories that will last a lifetime. I’m also excited to document my journey to share with this blog, as well as with my family and friends. Most of all, I’m looking forward to connecting what I learn in the classroom to real-world business.
