Scavanger Hunt and K-pop

Still not used to the time difference, I woke up at 2:00 AM Korea time or 1:00 Pittsburgh, and all my lights were on, the blinds were not closed, and the TV was on. That’s when I realised that I passed out soon after I got back to my hotel room. Even though I was ready and energized for my second day in Seoul.

To start off the day, everyone met at the hotel lounge, and that’s when we all got a text from Dr. Yun. On the itinerary, it says that we have a sightseeing tour made by Pitt, so I didn’t know what to expect. Dr Yun. Sent us a scavenger hunt for us to follow. He gave us a clue and a picture of where he was, and we had to take public transport to get to him, and the first 2 teams who find him get free lunch. From the first photo and a bit of research, we found out the location was Jogyesa Temple. Like the smart engineers we are, our group decided to call up a taxi online and get a direct ride to the temple, but halfway through, we got a text that we were cheating and were going to be disqualified. A taxi is a public transport. I don’t know how it is deemed cheating. Anyway, our group got to the temple.

However, Dr. Yun had already left and was at a different location; he was now at the Seoul National Museum. Our group this time got on a chain of buses and got to the museum; however, not within the top two, so we didn’t get free lunch. The national museum was massive and had a massive amount of antiques and history on display for the eye to see.

After the museum, we headed off as a whole group to a Korean K-pop dance class at the World K-pop Center. This class was actually a lot of fun and a little embarrassing. We had a guide who helped us dance and learn the choreography of the song SWIM from BTS. I don’t have any photos or videos yet, but I will say I think I do okay at best. This class was so funny and was a great time
