Hello everyone! My name is Alyssa Winebrenner, and I am super excited to go abroad to Argentina. I am from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, which is about 45 minutes outside Philadelphia. I am currently a freshman in Pitt Business, majoring in Marketing. I am also pursuing certifications in Sports Management and Digital Media. On campus, I am a part of the American Marketing Association, and next year I will be the Vice President of Public Relations. I am also a part of the Pickleball club, which is something I love to do to stay fit and have fun! In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, trying new foods, and exploring new coffee spots.

I chose the Plus3 program in Argentina because I believe it will help me grow academically. As a Marketing major, I am still exploring the specific direction I want to pursue within the field. Having the opportunity to explore the business side of healthcare will allow me to gain a more in-depth understanding of how marketing operates in a specialized industry. This experience will also help me refine my career interests and strengthen my communication skills. Beyond academics, I am excited to explore a new culture. I have previously studied abroad in Spain, so I am interested in experiencing the differences between the two Spanish-speaking countries. This opportunity will push me out of my comfort zone and allow me to immerse myself in a broader global perspective. Professionally, I hope to develop stronger cross-cultural communication skills and gain insight into how businesses operate in an international environment, which will better prepare me for a future career in marketing.
