Attempting to Find Dr. Yun and My Rhythm

Today was extremely fun. We started off a little late, but the day quickly turned into an adventure because we had a scavenger hunt to find Dr. Yun. Instead of just telling us where to go, he made us figure out his location at two different places around Seoul. This meant we had to use what we learned about the public transit system from the day before, which was honestly a good test after our subway struggles yesterday.

Our first stop was Jogyesa Temple. It was really cool to see the temple and experience another part of Korean culture. After that, we had to figure out where Dr. Yun went next, which ended up being the National Museum of Korea. Once we found him there, we got to explore the museum.

The museum was really interesting because we got to see art and artifacts from ancient Korean history. There was also a small Japanese exhibit, which added some variety to what we were looking at. One of the most unexpected parts of the museum was that there were singers performing, and they were singing absolute bangers like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Let It Be,” and “We Will Rock You.” I was definitely not expecting to hear those songs at the National Museum of Korea, but it made the experience even more memorable.

After walking through the museum, we ate at the restaurant inside the museum area. Later in the day, we did a K-pop dance class, which was really fun but also very humbling. We learned a dance to a song called Swim by BTS, and I found out very quickly that I am impressively uncoordinated. I may not have looked like a professional dancer, but it was still one of the funniest and most fun parts of the day.
