Cats, Culture, and Kolonaki

on

I began my fifth day in Athens with a coffee and croissant on the rooftop with my friends. As the days have gone on, many people in the program have started exploring different breakfast spots around the city, and I have really enjoyed discovering new places with them. Exploring the area has also helped improve my sense of direction, and I have started recognizing landmarks and figuring out how to get around without relying on maps. After breakfast, we attended a lecture at University of Nicosia about peptides. Although biology is not usually my favorite subject, the professor’s passion made the lecture very engaging and enjoyable. Afterward, we had lunch at Le Rosé, where I had an amazing sushi roll that tasted super fresh, which makes sense obviously. Later, we visited the Benaki Museum Kolonaki. I really enjoyed seeing artwork rather than archaeological artifacts, even though the historical museums we have visited so far have also been fascinating, it was a good change of pace. We then went on a walking tour and visited Mount Lycabettus, which had beautiful views of the city and adorable cats. I ended the night by making dinner and eating with my friends, which was the perfect way to finish the day.
