Today started off with a visit to Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon, and it was honestly such an incredible place to explore. The fortress was absolutely massive, and I was amazed by how huge and well-preserved it still is. Walking through the area made me feel like I had stepped into a different time period because of the architecture and the historical atmosphere surrounding the fortress. We learned that the fortress was built in the late 1700s by King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty and served as both a military defense structure and a symbol of power and innovation at the time. It was really interesting to see how advanced the construction and design were, especially considering how long ago it was built.

One of the most fun parts of visiting the fortress was getting to try archery there. It was such a unique experience. Even though aiming accurately was harder than it looked, it was still really enjoyable and made the experience feel much more interactive. Being able to participate in an activity connected to Korean history made the visit even more memorable.
Later in the evening, we visited Samsung headquarters, and honestly, it was one of the best experiences of the trip so far. The entire experience was extremely inspiring and fascinating, especially because of how much technology and innovation we got to see in one place. Our tour guide was amazing and explained everything so clearly and engagingly that it was easy to follow along and truly appreciate the company’s history and development.

At the beginning of the tour, we learned about Samsung’s early days, when it started as a grocery store before eventually becoming one of the world’s largest technology companies. Hearing that transformation story was honestly really inspiring because it showed how much innovation and vision can completely change a company over time. We then explored the history of radios and communication devices and saw how technology gradually evolved throughout the decades.
What fascinated me the most was learning about semiconductors and the development of televisions. Seeing how quickly television technology evolved over time was really impressive. As we continued through the exhibits, we also looked at innovations in home appliances, such as vacuum cleaners and refrigerators, and how their designs and features improved over the years.

Toward the end of the tour, we got to see some of Samsungās newest technologies, and that was probably the most exciting part for me. One thing that really surprised me was a television that could automatically switch between horizontal and vertical orientation depending on how you rotated your phone or remote. I thought that was such a creative and modern feature, especially with how much vertical content people watch today.
Another thing that really impressed me was their smart refrigerator technology. The refrigerator had sensors that could detect and keep track of the fruits and vegetables inside. The connected app would automatically update whenever something was added or removed. For example, if you were out shopping, you could check the app and instantly see what items you already had at home. I found that incredibly interesting because it showed how technology is becoming more integrated into everyday life in such practical ways. Honestly, after seeing that, I really wanted one of their smart refrigerators.
At the end of the tour, we also received a customized mousepad with a picture we had taken earlier at the beginning of the experience, which was such a thoughtful and memorable souvenir to end the visit.
Overall, today was an incredible blend of history and future technology. From exploring an ancient fortress and trying archery to witnessing some of the worldās most advanced innovations at Samsung, the entire day flew by
