Today was a ton of fun. We started the day by taking getting on the bus for around an hour before stopping at a fortress within Seoul. There we were able to have some fun by practicing our archery skills before heading around the fortress and exploring some areas that really contrasted Seoul’s modern city. The elements of the fortress with the city towering over it in the background were beautiful. We continued by heading towards a palace that had been connected the fortress and learning about some very cool cultural practices and artworks that had been used during the dynasty when this fortress was built.

After exploring the fortress and palace we had a small break to get some food which was also very cool as a group of my friend, and I just stopped at the nearest chicken place we saw. We ordered three full chickens and some side dishes and once the food arrived, we put on plastic gloves to be able to full devour the chicken with no mess. I loved this experience as it was so fun to socialize with everyone and eat in a family style manner.

After lunch we headed back on the bus towards our final destination of the day, which was a tour of the Samsung museum, which I found very interesting. We not only learned about Samsung but also about so many different tech ologies and the advancements that eventually lead to Samsungs fame. It was awesome seeing this innovative technology and the ways that Korea impacted the global tech world.

After finishing up our tour of the museum we got back on the bus to be dropped off at a market. This market was insane. It had a number of American retail brands and seemed like a supermall which I have personally never been to. Although it was awesome I’m too poor to buy anything, so we ended up doing some shopping along the subway. Overall today was great and being let out early really let us have some more time to show and get to bed early before our long day tomorrow.
