Throughout our Greece trip, we saw and did many things. But one of my favorite outings during program time was exploring Monastiraki Market with Anthony, Opal, and Toni. First, we shopped around, and I finally got my leather bag, a souvenir I have wanted ever since I was young. Then, we went to a small mom-and-pop shop where they sold homemade pies. The husband was making the dough, while the lady made all the filling by hand. I ended up getting the meat pie, and it tasted absolutely delicious. Finally, we sat near a duck pond where there were also some turtles, which are some of my favorite animals. Overall, the people I hung out with helped make the experience so much more fun and authentic since we visited more local shops.
