My favorite outing thus far in Greece was definitely my time in downtown Athens at the Benaki Museum! This museum was filled with a rich density of culturally significant items, such as ancient Mycenean pottery, orthodox artworks, and Byzantine clothing and furniture. As someone who grew up going to Sunday school, closely observing the orthodox artworks and seeing the detail and precision used was very interesting. My favorite kind of artwork was these triptychs which you can see in the far left corner of the display case here:

The museum visit was really cool and I would definitely come again! The whole experience was also greatly enhanced by our guide Dimitri, who was very knowledgeable and explained the significance behind specific paintings, people, and symbols. Overall really amazing experience and would definitely recommend!
