We have finally arrived in Buenos Aires! We took a bus ride to the hotel and all got checked in. We were met with a warm welcome by IES abroad with an amazing lunch. They served us a fresh salad with many toppings. They brought out some sausage sandwiches for us, which were amazing! They then brought us some cow meat which was also amazing. Great way to start the trip!
Some things i’ve noticed since being here, the doors all open on the opposite side. The elevators main floor is 0 and they go into the negatives for floors below zero.
After lunch I took a nap for a few hours (so i missed the tour of the neighborhood). Korinne and I walked to dinner later on the town. I spoke Spanish to a few people that sold me water and red bulls. We tried some kind of ice cream popsicle. We walked around the city, and I noticed people walk slower in Argentina as well.
Happy mother’s day mom! I missed my mom for mother’s day, but i cooked her a nice steak dinner before I left. I have had an amazing first day in Buenos Aires. Time for some much needed sleep!
