Exploring La Paz!

Today we were able to explore La Paz waterfalls and the areas around them. We learned many different things, including that they did not have heavy machinery come in and build everything, because they didn’t want to disrupt the land.
I have been wrestling with if everything I observed today was sustainable in all aspects. I do believe that La Paz is sustainable to people, but maybe not to the land and animals that live there. Because La Paz is such an attraction, so many people are there on the daily, which could easily disrupt the animals there. The idea of rescue animals there and being able to see them was super nice though, so I honestly can’t give a straight up answer.
I think that it depends on the area you’re observing. The aviary is definitely sustainable in all aspects, but is the area around the waterfalls sustainable too? Overall, it was such an amazing experience. I got to see animals I have never seen in person before which was amazing.
