Day ten in Bilbao!

on

Today was another great day in Bilbao! We started off by learning about the balance machine at the university! It was very interesting to learn about the three factors to balance, visual, auditory, and vestibular. It was also interesting to learn about base of support, center of mass, and center of pressure. We learned about different balance tests that are run, and even got to complete them blindfolded! We also learned that stroke patients will move with the balance machine while healthy patients will move to counteract the machine, which I thought was very interesting! We also got to see and test out the balance machine which was very cool!

After viewing the balance machine, we got a tour of the rocketry club! It was interesting to see their different materials and the way their office was set up. We also got to go and see their workshop which was interesting. After seeing the rockets, we got to go inside the football stadium, “The Cathedral.” It was so cool to tour the field, locker room, and press rooms! We also learned about the backstory behind the lion mascot and see the presidential seats. Next, we went through the museum of the cathedral. It was cool to see the pictures, trophies, and jerseys that are so important to the team’s history and culture! Next, we went souvenir shopping in old town! Of course, we had to stop at Gelati Gelati before heading to a pintxo dinner. It was another amazing day in Bilbao!
