Today we visit a Korean college that is partnered with Pitt. It is called POSTECH. We all have the ability to study abroad there if we want to in a couple of years.
For lunch we ate at their dining hall. The food was amazing. It was much better than Eattery food to be honest. I had some tteokbokki and veggies with cheese. We spoke to Korean students. They all spoke English very well even though the one I talked to said he has never left Korea. We had lots of differing experiences to talk about. Korea is a very small country, so he could not believe we would drive 3+ hours just to see some friends.
After we went to see a quantum computer. They were doing a very expensive experiment to make a quantum computer more compact. The quantum computer took up the size of a room, like very early computers. It was very very cool to see.

After that, we saw a particle accelerator. I mean how many people get to see a particle accelerator in their life. I still am heavily considering studying abroad there, as they have amazing research opportunities.

After we went home, we had some free time. Some friends and I went to the beach. We took so many pictures (as shown). There was a temple there that was beautiful. Most people in Pohang do not speak English. I actually like that because it seems like more authentic Korea. I studied Korean before the trip and I wanted to put it to good use. When we got dinner, I had to try to talk to the waitress or try to mime it out. Communicating with different types of people is so fun to me. In the end, I called it an early night and went to bed because these days have been long and we are getting close to the end of the trip.
