For one of our more interesting visits this week our group visited the Piraeus Port. Piraeus Port is the largest port in the Mediterranean and it is a deep sea port as well. It was very interesting to see just how colossal the mother vessels and the port is. The 20×40 crates were insignificant compared to the ships that carried them. It was cool to learn about the cranes as well since the port runs 24/7 and different colors signify newer technology for the cranes which were semi-autonomous. Another cool part of the trip was the technology that helped the shareholders. They have a digital infrastructure that can share information between shareholders and employees safely.
