Day 10: Visit to the Cathedral

Today started off with another early wake up plus hotel breakfast. After that, we headed off to the school of engineering where we were put in the designated plus three room! In this room, we were given a lecture on balance and the different things that can inhibit balance. I found it super intriguing just how many things can inhibit balance (these include neurological problems, vestibular problems, or muscular problems) and if just one of these things are slightly tweaked, a person’s whole balance can be thrown off! After this lecture, we conducted a balance test with a partner except we were blindfolded while doing it. While I did still manage to get a perfect score, I think my tester was a little biased. After this test, we went down to the basement to check out a new, in progress balance machine.

What came next, however, may have been the coolest thing in the entire trip, at least in my opinion. We got a tour of the San Mames stadium! The entire thing was so amazing. We got to see the field, sit in the locker room, check out the executive box, and I even got to have a press conference with the rest of the class asking questions! Though, my favorite part may have been the museum. Getting to see all the relics and old trophies was mesmerizing. They also had a large screen where I could watch all the best goals throughout the club’s history, along with a goalie simulation! I spent so long at that goalie simulation that my classmates all left and my phone ended up dying. Luckily, by that point, we had spent enough days walking to and from the stadium that I knew how to get back without directions.
