Days 2/3: Man I love food

Our second day started off with a similar breakfast before we headed out to a chocolate tasting. We tried everything from the bean to the extract to every type of chocolate they sold. At the end we had a small dessert which just so happened to be the greatest brownie I ever consumed in my life. We headed off to lunch after where I stopped along the way to try every type of fruit I could find on the street being watermelon, kiwi, peaches, dates, and mango. It was all so fresh and every single fruit was just so much fresher than back home.

We then headed off on our second journey to another chocolate factory Bios where we went through another amazing chocolate tasting and tour of the factory, By the end of the chocolate tasting I couldn’t eat anymore and thats when I was introduced to the Dubai chocolate strawberries which had a running chocolate fountain for us to load up on which put an end to my stomach for the two and a half hour bus ride through the windy mountains. We then finished the day off with a rooftop dinner with an amazing steak and mashed potatoes.

Our third day started with a beautiful breakfast in the Otavalo hotel with a beautiful view of the morning city. We headed over to the amazing market for pretty much the entire day and shopped around for all sorts of things. I bought a nice soccer jersey (as pictured), some gifts for family, and a cool little shirt. We then grabbed lunch and I got a massive surf and turf and continued the day with more street food being oranges, snake fruit, strawberries, pineapple, and watermelon. Finally we headed back to the hotel and listened to an amazing Ecuador style music and dance with this delicious hot fruit drink with a homemade bread thing sort of like a bagel. We headed off for dinner and all the guys got T-Bone steaks that just so happened to not be cooked at all which kind of ruined the meal but made it a fun experience and we fed all our raw meat to a stray dog. We then got on the rooftop of the hotel and looked over the city together which made for an amazing time and wrapped up our busy day shopping and eating.
