Currently, I write this blog post with odd hands as I wait for my press on nails (matching with Emma) to fully set… sorry, mom. I got nails in Korea. Sue me.
Shorter post today!
Today we left Pohang, and for breakfast Kali and I got some rice cakes one last time, as she a) owed me money and b) doesn’t have as easy access to such food like I do. The lady was very kind and gave us a free extra pack. Yay!
We then packed up and got ready to head to Ulsan for the Hyundai Motors Plant, the largest motor plant in South Korea. I did some pre-work stuff on the bus, and then we had bento box lunches, and then we toured a bit of a museum like area to get an idea about the history of Hyundai and the cars they produce. Hyundai seems to take eco-friendly options seriously, and it was neat hearing their plans for hydrogen in vehicles.
Afterwards, we got to tour the production line! Similarly, no photos allowed, and while it was cool, POSCO has the upper hand for being more movie-like in contrast to Hyundai. Getting to see the production behind the Elantra and such was still pretty cool! We also got to see the ports from afar.
That was kind of it. Slower day, today—mostly travel. We took an earlier train to Seoul and were given a bit of extra free time, so Emma and I got dinner, picked up matching nails on a whim, I got some higher grade matcha for my whisk back home (finally), and we got some things for our mother’s. Overall, good day!
Today’s title is named after SUPERBOARD by Stray Kids. Mostly just because they say, “nyoon” during the song. And…. Cars. (Bad connection, but whatever).

Nails??!
