Postcards from Morocco: Making Memories in Marrakech

Let’s take a tour down the photo gallery for day 7!

Right off the bat, we started our day with the Kutubiyya Mosque. This picture is a bit cloudy, but the view was amazing!

On our way to the Bahia Palace, we saw these pretty cool performers! The band was great and the music was amazing as we entered the area!

We went to the Bahia Palace, and this one of the gorgeous views we had from inside of it! There is so much detail, artwork, and rich history in this palace, and I loved seeing it!

During our free time in the souks of the Medina at Marrakech, my friends and I stumbled upon an artisan making engraved bracelets! We each got a gold bracelet with our names in Arabic, and honestly, I see myself wearing this indefinitely. I find sentiment in jewelry, most of everything I wear holds a special memory or it was given/gifted to me by someone, so the fact that I now have something that showcases my time in Morocco is special to me.

So many colors! This stall caught my eye immediately when I was walking, just from how vibrantly it stood out! I believe these are herbs and natural minerals that were grinded into fine powders- what for, I’m not sure, but it’s definitely intriguing!

Today has been an exciting day of exploring, shopping, and sightseeing! Not to mention, getting to hang out with my friends and being able to bargain on my own! Tomorrow is our last day in Marrakech, and I’m excited to see what the new day will bring!
