Day 3: BMW Business

This was a day I was very excited for. At home, I personally own a BMW, so I was very interested in exploring the factory as well as talking to multiple representatives. It was our first really early day, and we decided to have a little fun the night before. Nonetheless we pushed through and had an amazing time.

We first stopped for a presentation. This is where we were informed of things like current numbers, current trends, and their plans for their “Neu Klasse” models. The presentation was confidential, so I wasn’t able to take any photos, but I took some notes as it was tremendously informative even though I am not in the group.

After that, we traveled over to the BMW headquarters for a factory tour and to explore the museum. This was the main part of the trip and was the most astonishing to me by far. The factory was insane, easily one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life. I literally got to see how my car was made step-by-step. One thing I noted was how automated it was. With the help of the KUKA robots the factory was almost entirely run by robots.

Exploring the museum, I saw probably five of my dream cars. The tour was on your own, so you got to explore at your own pace. It had different sections that ranged from 1-19(I think), this was really cool as each section had a completely different vibe and theme. One second you would be looking at planes and the next a racecar. Definitely a great time.

We ended the day exploring the Olympic park. At first, I was little un-thrilled as I was super tired but walking through and seeing the history was honestly very intriguing.

Overall, it was my favorite day so far. The factory and museum blew me away and left me fully satisfied, especially with my car at home. The walk through the park also allowed me to destress, and prepare my mind for the next day.
