Today I woke up and got dressed. I went down to breakfast and got eggs and toast. After that I went back up to my room to do my makeup and pack my bag for the day. When we got to postech we were given a presentation that was an overview of Postech. I learned that Pohang is a lot like Pittsburgh and is also a steel production city. It was cool to see the parallels between the two cities and it made me more excited to explore the city later. 

After the presentation we went to another room to see more presentations about peoples research at Postech. It was interesting to see what type of research people pursue in other countries. It also gave me a better idea of what graduate research looks like in engineering related majors. 

Lunch was my favorite part because we got to eat with some of the students and meet a girl who was coming to study at Pitt next year. We ate in the esports lounge which had a giant screen that played k-pop. Me and my friends befriended the girl who was coming to pitt and ate with her. We also made a group chat with her on instagram so she could have people she knows at Pitt. She gave us advice about where to go in Pohang later.

After lunch we went to another presentation about electrical engineering. This was particularly interesting because it is my major and I was able to see what other programs are like. After that we went to see some of their labs. The first lab we saw was NINT which delt with nanotechnology. It was cool to see all of the projects they were working on. We also went to see quantum computers which is a unique experience. We also went to go and view a particle accelerator which was cool. We were not able to see inside the machines, but they gave us good descriptions on what they were doing.

Postech was our only activity that day so we went back to the hotel. I went to the beach and walked around on the sand after.
