As a group, we ventured to the museum in the middle of Times Square. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to see that much of the museum. This is because there was actually a wedding taking place in the street that ended in the museum garden area. This was cool to see, because this time last year, my sister actually got married. So it was fascinating to see how different cultures treated the event. The German wedding seemed to be informal. Some had just regular sneakers on, and many had no ties, suits, or even belts. The museum had very cool and unique artwork, followed by a vast room with grand chandeliers and a mural that covered the entire roof. It was very similar to what we had seen the day before at the castle. In the second part of the day, we were able to get a game plan for the final project with our German student counterparts and listen in on a talk with a reporter from Bloomberg. This was very informative regarding the trends and developments in the car markets that still affect our assigned group of Kuka. As a group, we were able to see the university track, which I assumed would be a 1 km track. However, it was just a normal 400-meter track like the one we have back at home. Following this, a small group and I walked to the Augsburg pro soccer team stadium around a mile away from campus. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to tour the stadium, but we had the chance to go to the pro shop. The pro shop was very similar to something you see back in the States in a Steelers or penguins stadium. However, the clothing all seemed to be more reasonably priced and made of better materials. After this, we returned back and I was able to explore more back in Augsburg and get an early dinner at a place that seemed to be more quick service but didn’t taste like it. Definitely very fresh and comfortable food after a long couple of days. I continued walking around and had a couple of fresh bake goods. This included one that had a melted cheese top with a pear filling. I asked for a popular order, and that is what I got. Definitely the best pastry I’ve had here yet. I’m also blown away by how good the overall coffee quality is here. It’s definitely a placebo effect with how tired I am.
