Some similarities are that the groups had in common was that they were all working for the betterment of society. The Technopark does not charge rent for startups and receives funding from the government and partnerships to ensure that as many startups as possible can succeed and profit. Also, UM6P provides a large number of scholarships and financial aid opportunities to make sure that anyone who wants to learn is able to. In addition, Startgate is similar to the Technopark by connecting students to future employment opportunities by setting them up with a partnership that is mutually beneficial. The ANDD women’s empowerment group and the Anou website that we learned about are helping women promote their businesses through social media and the internet. This is a difficult skill that is not easy to learn, and these groups teach women for free with the purpose of supporting artisans and helping women earn the money they deserve. Even though all of these organizations could focus more on making money, they choose not to. Instead, they choose to work toward the advancement of Morocco and help build infrastructure across the African continent.

A difference between the groups is their approach to helping the people of Morocco through entrepreneurship and technology. The Casablanca Technopark and Startgate are focused on innovation and creating startups to help build the technological future of Africa. Their main goals are to create future jobs and companies based in technology while spreading technological knowledge and infrastructure throughout the country. On the other hand, the ANDD women’s group and Anou focus more on preserving traditional craftsmanship and helping local artisans, especially women, earn fair wages for their work. They promote handmade cultural products and teach women how to market themselves online.

One thing that all of the women in the groups we met with had in common was their desire to learn how to use technology to become entrepreneurs. Throughout all of the site visits, there were older women and younger women, women living in rural communities and women living in cities, yet they all wanted the same thing. No matter their background or prior experience, they were all looking for like minded people to learn from and grow their businesses with through the use of technology.
