Today, we went to the AMA, which is a company that is committed to preserving and sustaining the environment. The AMA activity was a way of commercializing nature, which, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to save and preserve it. During the activity, I was able to see such a great view of everything that the forest had to offer. I was able to see the waterfalls, the trees, and the beautiful landscape. This kind of commercialization of nature helped me really appreciate how beautiful the environment is if we can preserve it. The views I was able to see made me more motivated to help preserve our environment.

Some alternatives exist for funding conservation rather than tourism. Governments can chip in and fund some of these programs to help support some of these conservation efforts. There are also international programs that can help provide grants or environmental aid. When tourism suddenly disappears, such as during the pandemic, many of the conservation programs lose a lot of their money. With no more tours, the park entrance fees, and hotel revenues, the programs lose a lot of their main source of profits. These programs could even have illegal resource extraction due to the small amount of resources that are not available due to the pandemic. This shows the cons of commercializing nature because it can be very effective in a stable and short-term timeline, but if something were to suddenly happen in can become very volatile.
