Overall, it was such a great trip. I learned about a whole new culture by being embraced completely in it! I loved the challenge of this as well, from handling conversations with waiters, learning how to use pesos, or even the slow pace of the country! These were all thi bf s i completely didn’t expect to buy a challenge but was. Another thing I learned was patience. Argentina’s culture is very slow-paced, and at first, sitting at a restaurant for 2 hours was annoying, but by the end of the trip, I felt like I took every second possible and was able to have great conversations. Taking your time was also important in understanding the culture. In the many museums we visited, you had to be patient with the guided tour guides, even when you felt like they were talking too much. If you took the amount of time to listen as they took to teach, I realized you can learn a lot more. I also felt passionate about friendship and community on this trip. In every business, hospital, family owned restaurant we went to, everyone was a part of a family there. Even in the worst hospital conditions, the nurses worked together and loved their job as a team. I learned this through others and also my own friends I made. Our group grew so close, and through our own personal challenges, everyone rallied together to make it right. Overall, this trip taught me so much, and I am so thankful for the endless lessons learned and perspectives brought on to me.
