My name is Dave Stawowczyk.  I am from a town called Canonsburg, which is about half an hour south of Pittsburgh, and currently I am a freshman at the College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh.  I plan on double-majoring in Global Management and one of Supply Chain Management or Accounting.  I feel that traveling to Germany and studying the different companies of the country will help me decide which of these areas I would like to study, which is part of why I chose this program.  Additionally, I believe that the opportunity to travel to a country to which I have never been will help broaden my knowledge of different cultures.  In addition to business and traveling, my biggest interests include hockey (especially the Penguins and Maple Leafs), football (the Steelers, of course), and music (my favorite bands include Avenged Sevenfold, Dream Theater, and Symphony X).
