Munching in Munich (May 13, 2017)

Today we got to spend the day touring Munich.  We left on the tram at 9:30 to catch the train to Munich. The trains in Germany are super smooth and they can reach speeds of almost 200 kph.  The first thing we did in Munich was a guided tour.  It was very crowded as there was a celebration going on.  We got to see the Rathaus-Glockenspiel which is part of the town hall in Marienplatz.  There was also a local food market which reminded me of the food markets at home.  We also saw the Hofbräuhaus, a famous brewery in Munich.  We also went into a shopping mall that had plants hanging from the ceiling!  After the tour, we had free time to explore the city.  I had a tomato and mozzarella panini, Spezi, and gelato for lunch.  We then walked around looking at all of the different cars and I bought a pair of sunglasses.  We only got somewhat lost.  We then met back up as a group to eat dinner at a burger grill.  On the way, there we saw a memorial to Michael Jackson.  After dinner, we rushed to the train station and got on the train just in time.  It was a relaxing and fun filled day.
