Day 7 – Munich

Saturday May 13, 2017

This morning we took an hour-long train ride to Munich. When we got to Munich, we took a walking tour of the city. There was a religious celebration going on that day, so the main city square was getting more and more crowded as the day went on. The New Town Hall was very intricately designed with figurines in the windows that rotated and played music at specific hours throughout the day.

After the tour, we were given a few hours to wander around on our own for lunch. My friends and I got lunch then walked around the city exploring. We ended up getting lost because Munich is such a large city, especially compared to Augsburg. Eventually we found our way back to the main city square where we were meeting the rest of the group for dinner.

We had dinner in a little restaurant before our train to Augsburg. We ended up running late for the train so we had to rush to the station and barely made it onto the train before it left. By the time we got back to Augsburg, I was pretty tired from all of the walking we did today. I got ready for bed and tomorrow we will be heading to Dachau, one of the concentration camps from the Nazi regime.
