Today, we visited the concentration camp Dakau. It was a reflective time on German history and the human race as a whole, as a tour guide expertly guided us through. Learning about something and seeing pictures of it in history class is not the same as being there and experiencing it firsthand. I am glad we went, as it was a very enriching experience and message to all to not allow history to repeat itself.
The rest of the day was devoted to working on our presentations and catching up on blogs. We used the confines of the university’s library, which is not so different from Hilman, and then we grabbed dinner at a restaurant on campus called Mr. Onion. I did not eat any onions there, however.
