My name is Blaise Kesler, and I am currently a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh. I am from Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. I am majoring in computer engineering, and some of my interests are reading and watching the 76ers. I am also on the club cycling team at Pitt, and enjoy biking around the city.
I chose the Plus3 Vietnam program because I had learned about the country through reading books by Viet Thanh Nguyen, and was interested in learning more about the country. From this program, I hope to broaden my perspective on the world through learning about the Vietnamese culture. This trip will teach me about globalization and its impact on business, which will be useful knowledge when I begin my professional career. I am also excited to learn from the business side of the trip, as engineering and business are closely related and dependent on one another.
