Life Long Yinzer

Hi I am Adam McNeill, and I was born and raised in Pittsburgh.  I will be going to Italy to study fashion supply chains in May 2018 before my sophomore year.  I am pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, and I am planning to pursue a minor in Bio-engineering.  My favorite things are the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Steeler’s, and hip-hop/R&B music.  I have a brother that is a year younger than me, and a sister Tori who is 6-years old.   I play goalie for the Bio-Medical Engineering Society’s rec soccer team at Pitt.  I also am the public heath lead for the Engineering Without Borders hydroponics project, which works alongside the Pitt Hydroponics Club that I am the head of Social Media and Inventory for.

Why Plus3 Italy?

I have always known that I want to visit and maybe one day live in Europe, so going to college I knew I wanted opportunities to study abroad.  At my multiple visits to the University of Pittsburgh I decided Pitt was the place for me in part from listening to people present and Talk about Plus3.  I have already been to Italy the summer after high-school, and I loved it so it was an easy decision to say yes when I was asked to study fashion supply chain in Italy.  I can not wait to learn more about how Italy produces the highest quality fashion in the world, and learn more about the Italian Culture.  I can not wait to be reconnected with my long lost love of Italian Food.  Plus3 Italy will be a great time to catch up with all the delicious Pizza, Pasta, Sorbet, and Gelato I have been missing in my life.
