Hey everyone!

My name is Connor Valenta and I am a Sophomore Finance major in the College of Business Administration. A few things about me. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and have always thought of Pitt as my second home, having gone to Pitt football and basketball games since I was 5 years old. Since my freshman year at Pitt, I have worked in the recruiting department for Pitt’s football team. Starting this summer, I will be interning for MassMutual in downtown Pittsburgh.

One of my favorite things to do is to travel, having spent time in Germany, Austria and most recently in Iceland. Ireland has always been on my bucket list and after hearing about this program, I thought this would be a great opportunity for me both personally and professionally. On a personal level, it will allow me to be in a new country and have a once in a lifetime experience. Professionally the Plus3 program, will allow me to meet with a variety of companies to network and learn even more about international business and the constantly growing tech hub in Dublin. This two week trip was a perfect fit for me because it allows me to have an international experience without having to miss out on any internship opportunities.

From being in a brand new culture and growing myself professionally, I am beyond excited for this trip and I cannot wait to get to Dublin!
