Dublin Introduction

Hello Everyone!

My name is Ashley Bizon and I am currently a Senior in the College of Business Administration at Pitt majoring in Supply Chain Management and Business Information Systems. I’ve been a member of the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band for the past three years and I’ll be a piccolo section leader for the 2018-2019 school year! I’m also a sister of Tau Beta Sigma which is a National Honorary Band Sorority.  I have been working part-time at Pennsylvania One Call System for the past two semesters and I have a supply chain internship lined up for this summer at UPMC in their procurement department.

In less than 2 weeks, I will be in Dublin for Pitt’s Plus3 Transfer program.  I chose this program in particular because the length of this trip fits perfectly with my plans for my summer internship.  I’ve never traveled outside of the United States so I wanted to take advantage of a short term opportunity that would be beneficial personally, academically, culturally and professionally.  I’m excited to network with corporate leaders and learn how they got to their current position while also requesting any feedback or advice that I can incorporate into my professional journey.  I am also ecstatic to leap out of my comfort zone and bring back knowledge which will give me a competitive advantage in the business world.

I’m pretty nervous to travel out of the country for the first time, but i’m excited to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity as I meet new people, try new foods and learn more about the culture of Dublin.

Hail to Pitt!
